Fly Fishing

Cast your rod into the meandering streams of Lindner Ranches, splashing your fly into the pristine river water. And with one of our expert guides nearby, you’ll find the rainbow trout biting in no time. Lindner Ranches offers private day fishing trips based on our availability. Please call for pricing and availability on groups of 3 or more anglers. All terminal tackle and lunch is included.

Horseback Riding

Experience Lindner Ranches on horseback just as the original settlers did. Meander through meadows, pastures and forest adjacent to the San Juan National Forest. Take in the scenery and experience the wildlife that is plentiful on all of the Lindner Ranches. Heck, our wrangler might even put you to work moving the herd.

Explore on Foot

Find yourself away from it all as you explore the ranch’s wilderness on foot. The ranch is surrounded on three sides by the San Juan National Forest and just outside the boundaries of the ranch sits the expansive Weminuche Wilderness Area, which provides great hiking trails to Hossick Lake, Divide Lakes, Granite Peak and the Continental Divide. The Weminuche Wilderness is 500,000 acres and the San Juan Forest is two million acres of the most beautiful land in the state of Colorado.

Snowmobiling

So you’re a throttle junkie, well then we have just the thing for you. If you find yourself at the ranches in the winter time enjoying the holidays, we offer snowmobiling as well. Nothing like carving through the powder getting face shots of the cold stuff. And if you get stuck, your friendly ranch manager will get you out with a big smile on his face.

Nearby Attractions

For the non-angler, the ranches have six horses and a wrangler on-site. Horseback Riding is included in the package price. The surrounding region also has a wealth of places to explore just a short drive away.

To the south in New Mexico, is the historic Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad that embarks from Chama; the charming town of Taos with the still-inhabited, thousand-year-old Taos Pueblo; and Santa Fe, with its long Spanish Heritage, its famed adobe architecture, and incredible array of art galleries.

To the north is Pagosa Springs, gateway to the alpine splendors of the San Juan Mountains and the Weminuche Wilderness, and home to the famous Hot Springs Resort & Spa.

To the west is Durango, a truly authentic Western town, with the historic Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, galleries and museums, and stellar restaurants. Durango also provides access to Mesa Verde National Park, one of the world’s great cultural treasures and the San Juan Skyway, a 235-mile scenic loop through mining towns, ski resorts, and staggering mountain splendor.

Astonishing vistas, remarkable history and archaeology, bountiful outdoor activities, all are waiting in the dramatic and peaceful realm of Lindner Ranches.
